(Rएfरैन्) कालियदमन दीननाह कालिन्दीकूल कदम्ब छाह

(Lord Krsna says:) How many girls of Vraja have I seen? Still, this one girl is splendid like a garland of unmoving lightning flashes,

kata kata braja naba bālā pekhalu janu thira bijarīka mālā

kata kata braja naba bala pekhalu janu thira bijarika mala

कत कत ब्रज नब बाला पेखलु जनु थिर बिजरीक माला

(Lord Krsna says:) How many girls of Vraja have I seen? Still, this one girl is splendid like a garland of unmoving lightning flashes,

tohe kaho subala sāṅgāti tabadhari hāma nā jāni dibā rāti

tohe kaho subala sangati tabadhari hama na jani diba rati

तोहे कहो सुबल साङ्गाति तबधरि हाम ना जानि दिबा राति

O friend Subala, I tell you: from that moment I no longer know whether it is day or night.

tahi dhani maṇi du-i cāri tahi mano-mohinī eka nārī

tahi dhani mani du-i cari tahi mano-mohini eka nari

तहि धनि मणि दुइ चारि तहि मनोमोहिनी एक नारी

In that place were two or four beautiful girls splendid like glistening jewels. But only one of those girls cast a spell on My heart.

so rahu majhu mane paṭhi manasija dhūme ghuma nāhi diṭhi

so rahu majhu mane pathi manasija dhume ghuma nahi dithi

सो रहु मझु मने पठि मनसिज धूमे घुम नाहि दिठि

I keep that girl in my heart. My heart is filled with the smoke of Kamadeva's flames. Lost in the smoke, I cannot see the directions.

anukhaṇa tahita samādhi ko jāne kaichana biraha-biyādhi

anukhana tahita samadhi ko jane kaichana biraha-biyadhi

अनुखण तहित समाधि को जाने कैछन बिरहबियाधि

Moment after moment I am rapt in thinking of this girl. I know nothing but Her. I am overcome by the fever of separation from Her.

dine dine kṣīṇa bhela dehā gobinda-dāsa kaha aiche naba-lehā

dine dine ksina bhela deha gobinda-dasa kaha aiche naba-leha

दिने दिने क्षीण भेल देहा गोबिन्ददास कह ऐछे नबलेहा

Day after day my body becomes more thin and emaciated. Govinda dasa says: These are the signs of new love.
