Kirtan Book is a small, phone-first songbook for Vaishnava and temple bhajans. We publish lyrics that devotees actually search for and sing — starting with Damodar Ashtakam — with Roman diacritics (IAST), plain ASCII, Hindi Devanagari, and a short English meaning under every verse.

Our mission

Make temple kirtan lyrics readable on a phone in the hall: clear typography, script toggles, and shareable links (?lang=hi) without clutter, ads, or a login wall.

Editorial policy

• Prefer public-domain Sanskrit sources for lyric text.
• English meanings are original editorial paraphrases unless noted otherwise.
• Credit author, source, and meaning author on every song page.
• No scraping or republishing proprietary song-site layouts or copyrighted translations as-is.
