kabe ami chadiba e visayabhimana kabe visnu-jane ami kariba sammana

कबे आमि छाडिब ए विषयाभिमान कबे विष्णुजने आमि करिब सम्मान

When will I be able to give up this false ego which is so deeply engrossed in sense gratification? And when will I be able to properly honor the associates of the Lord?

gala-vastra kṛtāñjali vaiṣṇava-nikaṭe dante tṛṇa kari’ dāḍāiba niṣkapaṭe

gala-vastra krtanjali vaisnava-nikate dante trna kari’ dadaiba niskapate

गलवस्त्र कृताञ्जलि वैष्णवनिकटे दन्ते तृण करिऽ दाडाइब निष्कपटे

I will stand before the Vaisnavas with folded hands, a cloth binding my neck, and a straw in between my teeth, sincerely awaiting their order.

kādiyā kādiyā jānāiba duḥkha-grāma saṁsāra-anala haite māgiba viśrāma

kadiya kadiya janaiba duhkha-grama samsara-anala haite magiba visrama

कादिया कादिया जानाइब दुःखग्राम संसारअनल हैते मागिब विश्राम

Weeping and weeping, I will understand the real nature of this abode of misery, and I will beg for relief from the blazing fire of this material world.

śuniyā āmāra duḥkha vaiṣṇava ṭhākura āmā’ lāgi’ kṛṣṇe āvedibena pracura

suniya amara duhkha vaisnava thakura ama’ lagi’ krsne avedibena pracura

शुनिया आमार दुःख वैष्णव ठाकुर आमाऽ लागिऽ कृष्णे आवेदिबेन प्रचुर

Hearing about all of my miserable sufferings, the Vaisnavas Thakura will submit an appeal unto the Lord Krsna on my behalf.

vaiṣṇavera āvedane kṛṣṇa dayāmaya e hena pāmara prati ha’bena sa-daya

vaisnavera avedane krsna dayamaya e hena pamara prati ha’bena sa-daya

वैष्णवेर आवेदने कृष्ण दयामय ए हेन पामर प्रति हऽबेन सदय

By the prayer of the Vaisnavas the all-merciful Lord Krsna will then become compassionate towards such a sinner as me.
