  1. Verse 1

(āmi) jamunā-puline, kadamba-kānane, ki herinu sakhī! āja (āmār) śyāma vaṁśīdhārī, maṇi-mañcopari, kare’ līlā rasarāja

(ami) jamuna-puline, kadamba-kanane, ki herinu sakhi! aja (amar) syama vamsidhari, mani-mancopari, kare’ lila rasaraja

    (आमि) जमुनापुलिने, कदम्बकानने, कि हेरिनु सखी! आज (आमार्) श्याम वंशीधारी, मणिमञ्चोपरि, करेऽ लीला रसराज

Oh sakhi! My dear girlfriend! What have I seen today? In a kadamba grove on the banks of the Yamuna, a beautiful blackish boy holding a long flute (vamsi) is seated upon a throne of jewels, performing His pastimes as the King of all transcendental mellows!

  2. Verse 2

kṛṣṇa-keli sudhā-prasravana (tāra) aṣṭa-dalopari, śrī rādhā śrī hari, aṣṭa-sakhī parijana

krsna-keli sudha-prasravana (tara) asta-dalopari, sri radha sri hari, asta-sakhi parijana

    कृष्णकेलि सुधाप्रस्रवन (तार) अष्टदलोपरि, श्री राधा श्री हरि, अष्टसखी परिजन

Situated upon the eight petals of the jeweled altar is Sri Radha and Sri Hari surrounded by Their attendants the eight chief gopis. There Krsna performs His amorous pastimes which are just like a waterfall of nectar.

  3. Verse 3

(tāra) sugīta-nartane, saba sakhī-gaṇe, tuṣiche yugala-dhane (takhon) kṛṣṇa-līlā heri’, prakṛti-sundarī, vistāriche śobhā vane

(tara) sugita-nartane, saba sakhi-gane, tusiche yugala-dhane (takhon) krsna-lila heri’, prakrti-sundari, vistariche sobha vane

    (तार) सुगीतनर्तने, सब सखीगणे, तुषिछे युगलधने (तखोन्) कृष्णलीला हेरिऽ, प्रकृतिसुन्दरी, विस्तारिछे शोभा वने

By singing sweet songs and by dancing nicely, all the gopis satisfy the treasured Divine Couple. Thus I am beholding Krsna's pastimes with His beautiful female consorts expanding throughout the splendorous forest.

  4. Verse 4

(āmi) ghare nā jāiba, vane praveśiba, o līlā-rasera tare (āmi) tyaji’ kula-lāja, bhaja vraja-rāja, vinoda minati kare

(ami) ghare na jaiba, vane pravesiba, o lila-rasera tare (ami) tyaji’ kula-laja, bhaja vraja-raja, vinoda minati kare

    (आमि) घरे ना जाइब, वने प्रवेशिब, ओ लीलारसेर तरे (आमि) त्यजिऽ कुललाज, भज व्रजराज, विनोद मिनति करे

For the sake of the mellows of such pastimes, I will not go to my home, but I will instead enter into the forest. Renouncing all shyness due to fear of family members, just worship the Lord of Vraja. This is the humble submission of Bhaktivinoda.
